And apparently people dig it. Nice! Thanks to everyone who’s already bought it, and especially to everyone who’s given me feedback on it!

Election ‘08 is fantastic — it’s one of those things that, once you see it, seems so “obvious” you wonder why it wasn’t done before. Now that I have it, I’m not giving it back!!
One User Interface comment: there is no “key” to the graphs; I’m not clear on how long a timeline is displayed on each state’s graph, so the trend demonstrated by the graph is less meaningful: does the graph depict a day, a week, a month…? Also, the little vertical dotted line, what is that?
I’ll be checking this thing daily from here on out to November……
Hey David - Funny sidenote for you: I worked for the Geek Squad, pre-merger, while I was in high school back in the late 90s.
Thanks for the feedback on the graphs. I’m sure you’re not surprised to hear that other people have commented on this too. In answer to your question, the timeline depicted is January 1, 2008 through now (whenever now happens to be).
The little vertical line depicts the date the last poll was conducted. If, for example, the last poll was conducted around late-April 2008, you’d see the dotted line appear at an x value of about 50% of the width of the iPhone’s screen. I’ll find some non-intrusive way of properly labeling this in the next version (1.2).
Thanks,
Aaron
