The new White House website abandons Expression Engine—previously used for BarackObama.com—for ASP.NET. Interesting, didn’t see that coming.

  1. I don’t know if that’s true. Check Netcraft’s “What’s that site running?”:

    What are your sources on this info?

  2. Try navigating to http://www.whitehouse.gov/Default.aspx. Look at the page source. A few things should jump out at you, like: /includes/functions.js.aspx and WebForm_FireDefaultButton(), among others.

  3. Also, check out the dates on Netcraft. The last listed date is Jan 19, 2009, the day before the Obama White House site went live.
